Hey Family and Friends!! The feature film “Parallel Chords” is looking for at least 500 followers for the #hometownheroes National Campaign that focuses on utilizing local resources, and supporting diversity in front of and behind the scenes!
Please go to the link below. Please create an account and follow us. The funding is optional though GREATLY appreciated!
Why do free follows matter?
In this contest if we hit a certain number of follows, Seed & Spark will consider releasing their own funds to support some films.
Why is now important? We have many days left!
The sooner we do well, the sooner we are bumped to the top of the page, with more traffic. And like a house on the market – there is perceived value added to projects that start strong (or at this point – climb steadily).
So on a previous blog I was telling you about this project called “Followers” and I can now announce that the film has a new name and a movie poster!!
“Finders Keepers” is the new name of the film and our Director Danny LeGare released 2 different posters for the movie! Which one do you like?
Go to our Facebook page and let us know what you think. Don’t forget to like the page for all the movie updates!!
That’s all for now, just a quick update. I have to play catch up on the blog but I’ll do that later. No information on when this movie is coming out but I know Danny is working the magic and it will be out eventually!
Allow me to catch you up on what’s been going on in my world. Over the past 3 months, I’ve been in Hollywood making movies! This first project, I got a call from the homie Frederick asking me to come 2nd AD for him. He was telling me he had a project he was trying to 1st and wanted to see if I could 2nd for him. I was like of course! Its been a couple of years since I last worked in LA, so I jump at the chance to do this even though I really don’t like 2nd AD’ing. I really enjoy being on set a million time more then 2nd’ing.
Struggling to come to terms with the break-up of his marriage and his reintegration into civilian life, former Navy SEAL John Beckett contemplates returning to what he knows best, war. When a close friend is brutally murdered in a racially motivated attack, Beckett calls upon his specialized military skills to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Has he found a new sense of purpose, or will this be his last mission?
After flying out and meeting the team attached to this project, I really was happy to be involved in this project. Matthew Marsden (Director) and all the Producers were a joy to work with. I’m not saying my first film in LA was horrible but we had a producer steal money and delay the project plus a ton of other problems. So coming to this I was a bit apprehensive but once I met the team, I know this would be the complete opposite. And I was thankful for that.
I wasn’t on set that much for this project. I was mainly in base camp but our wonderful producers took a boat load of pictures. So check out some of the BTS from this project.
Hey everyone! So a while back, probably 2 years ago I posted a blog about a movie called “Grandmother’s Murder Club”. Well now that movie is called “Bad Grandmas” and has movie trailer and a release date!!!
Check the movie poster and trailer below and this movie will be in theaters in October!!
Excuse the tardiness but I’ve been busy prepping for my next projects that I forgot to blog about the last project I finished at the end of February. It was a fun and very interesting project and I hope the world gets to see it one day.
“My Little Baby” is about Jimmy, a child with extraordinary powers who has just lost his father. On Christmas Day, under the tree, among other gifts, is a pair of walkie-talkie toy. A night like so many walkie talkie starts to emit strange noises, while connecting with a parallel dimension to be met by the deceased father. From then on, Jimmy starts a radio relationship with his dead father. But this incredible touch means that even the mysterious creatures have free access to our world, thus disturbing the tranquility of Jimmy and mother Becky.
So to wrap up a pretty exciting 2016 why not fly down to Florida and film a crazy movie called “The Executioners”. Let me rewind a little bit. So I was in St. Louis and I received a phone call from my friend Allan. Allan is a producer who will help produce my very first short film called “No Charge.” We’ve always kept in contact ever since that first project and he always said if he has a project I’m gonna be the first one to call, so he called me. He told me he had this awesome script that he was trying to shoot it and he needed an AD and the rest was history.
Any way so I fly down to sunny Florida leaving freezing North Carolina and get picked up in a convertible to welcome me back to Florida. The production for this project was pretty interesting to say the least. I originally suggested that we shoot this project and 20 days. The final schedule ended being 14 days but we finished in 16 days. This project wasn’t the easiest to get through but I excepted the challenge and we got to the end of the project and finished the movie. This movie will probably be one of the best movies that I’ve ever been 1st Assistant Director for. It pushes the limits it makes you very uncomfortable but I think in making controversial films like this one will stand out and be really good at the end of the day.
So before I got my network of filmmakers to where it is today, I used to apply for every job on every film job posting site that had Assistant Director in it. In doing so, I landed a job off of http://www.mandy.com in St. Louis, MO for a film called “Grandmother’s Murder Club”. While on set for “GMC” I got offered a job on “No Good Heroes” and while getting off of the plane for “NGH” I got a call to work on “Tonight She Comes”. That series of events lead me to develop some good relationships with some good people out of St. Louis. So when Jenn called me and asked me was I available literally 2 days after I finish my job in Connecticut (“Followers”), I couldn’t turn the job down.
Parallel Chords (overture) is the true story of a young violinist struggling to assert her individuality amidst the intense pressure of her pianist father and the formidable weight of her own musical ability.
This is my 4th movie with a majority of this crew and I truly enjoy working with them. They are a bunch of hard-working, good spirited individuals that love making movies. And as a 1st Assistant Director, these are the type of people you want to be around for 12+ hours a day if you have too.
So I usually don’t do projects back to back but sometimes when you’re a certain individual calls your phone you always answer. Danny LeGare is a phone call I will always answer. His passion for filmmaking alone will always be the #1 reason why I will always answer the phone.
Followers is about five friends and Urban explorers break into an abandoned building to explore and take pictures. Everything is fun and games until they see something they should have never seen and get locked in a place they never should have been!
So this was my 2nd film with Danny and crew in Connecticut. That place has a special place in my heart as one of the coldest places I’ve ever worked in, in my life. During my first project there, “Grandpa’s Psycho”, I thought I was gonna lose my big toe because of frostbite. This time, it wasn’t lose your big toe cold but it was still cold. One of these days I’m gonna convince Danny to make a movie up there during the summer!
Anyway, the team and I worked hard to get this project done. We had some tough days but we made it to the end. Check out the BTS pics below. When I have more info about this project I will let you know!
